ALLYSON KRAUTHEIM, PORTFOLIO SPECIALIST JIM JACKSON, CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER 03-Aug-2026

Bonding over bonds

August 3, 2026

The Federal Reserve held rates steady in July, keeping fixed income investors in a higher-for-longer environment. With investors still concerned about inflation and the Fed potentially being behind the curve, yields moved higher after the hold, particularly on the long end of the curve, which the Victory Income Investors team views as offering the potential for higher income and a wider margin against an uncertain outcome.

In this episode of Bonding Over Bonds, Portfolio Specialist Ally Krautheim sits down with Chief Investment Officer Jim Jackson to discuss why the team believes income can be the foundation of returns and how active management can help source yield when credit spreads are tight and rates are volatile. They also share where they see opportunity and risk, and why active security selection and long-term discipline matter in today's market.
